ATLANTA — MARTA officials say more than 100 of their bus shelters have been vandalized across the city and will have to be replaced.
They say the shelters have been vandalized with graffiti, but can’t be washed off. The graffiti was painted with a liquid that etches the glass, meaning it can’t be removed and the shelters will have to be replaced.

Many of the affected shelters are in the Memorial Drive area.
MARTA says they were working to replace the panels, but because there are so many, it will take them longer than expected.
Each one of the glass panels costs $200, according to MARTA officials. It’s unclear exactly how many panels will have to be replaced.
