ATLANTA — Morehouse College is getting some big money for some campus renovations.

The National Park Service announced it is giving $9.7 million to historically Black colleges and universities across the country.
The grants are for preservation projects on HBCU campuses in 9 states.

Morehouse will get $500,000 to repair the windows in Samuel T. Graves Hall.
“For more than 180 years, historically Black colleges and universities have provided high-level academics, opportunities, and community for generations of students. These grants enable HBCUs to preserve the noteworthy structures that honor the past and tell the ongoing story of these historic institutions,” said NPS Director Chuck Sams.

Officials said all accredited HBCUs are eligible to apply for the grant program.
