ATLANTA — The woman who police say drove the car during a drive-by that killed a 6-month-old boy heard the charges she faces in connection with the shooting.
We were in a courtroom at the Fulton County jail where she attended her First Appearance hearing.
“Ms. Sharice Ingram,” Magistrate Court Judge Rashida Oliver called out from a video screen set up in the court.
Oliver informed Sharice Ingram, 22, that she faces murder and aggravated assault charges.
“You will not be able to receive a bond today,” Oliver told Ingram.
The judge told Ingram a Superior Court judge would have to set her bond.
Atlanta police say Ingram drove a Jeep Cherokee captured on surveillance video at a high speed while Dequasie Little, 22, fired multiple shots at another car from the passenger seat.
One of the random bullets hit and killed 6-month-old Grayson Fleming-Gray Monday afternoon on Anderson Avenue.
Grayson was riding in the back seat of his mother’s car when he was hit.
“I woke up that morning not expecting to be holding my son in pieces,” said Grayson’s mother, Kerri Gray.

Gray was back out at the scene where her son died. She and her family cleaned up Grayson’s blood that stained the ground.
“He deserves better than to be rolled over by some greasy tires,” she said, while getting emotional.
Gray hugged people who felt her pain. And she was on a video call with Grayson’s father.
She showed him the memorial to their son at the scene.
Grayson’s father urged everyone to hug their families. Hug their children. Put down the guns. He also asked men to be better fathers.
“It all starts at home. It all starts with the men,” he said on the video call.
Grayson’s father was also on the video feed when Ingram went before a judge. He said he harbors no ill will towards Ingram.
“He wishes her forgiveness,” Gray said.
Gray said she needed more time for forgiveness.
“I’m working on it. I’m working on it,” she said.
Little also faces murder and aggravated assault charges.
Ingram’s attorney says she was hanging around with the wrong people, and she sends her condolences to Grayson’s family.
