ATLANTA — A motorcyclist is dead after crashing into a stopped vehicle on I-75 southbound on Thursday afternoon.
Georgia State Patrol says the crash involved a motorcycle and a Georgia Department of Transportation HERO unit.

The crash happened on I-75 near Northside Drive, leaving some of the southbound lanes shut down.
GSP identified the motorcyclist as 29-year-old Jonathan Delarosa of Marietta. He died from his injuries.
NewsChopper 2 flew over the area and saw the wrecked motorcycle being carried away.

The HERO unit is dispatched to crashes with the primary duty to clear crashes from roads and keep traffic flowing like normal.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
