ATLANTA — Two people wanted for a carjacking are now in custody after police say the car turned up at Lenox Square.
Atlanta Police said they responded around 6 p.m. to Lenox Square where the stolen car was parked.
Police told Channel 2 Action News the carjacking did not happen at the mall but happened out of state in Missouri.

Officers tried to approach the car when the suspects drove away from the scene, according to APD.
Georgia State Patrol located the car on Interstate 75 northbound near the Chattahoochee River, but the two suspects left the car and ran away.

Atlanta police, GSP and Cobb County police searched the area for the two suspects. NewsChopper 2 flew over the search area as the police activity blocked off lanes near the Mt. Paran Road exit.
Atlanta police said the two suspects are now in custody and no injuries were reported during the search.
Charges are still pending and the suspects’ names have not been released.
