ATLANTA — The New York firm pulled out of the project to develop the site one day after the city selected it.

The site was built in 1967, but has been left in limbo since it closed in 2014.

The Atlanta Housing authority is trying to build affordable and market-rate housing on the site.
It has already started on finding a new partner.
