ATLANTA — Authorities confirm that a man was shot on a MARTA bus Thursday evening.
The shooting happened along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive near the Hamilton E. Holmes MARTA station.
Channel 2's Nefertiti Jaquez was on the scene as the MARTA bus was towed away.
MARTA officials said two men got into a heated argument until one of them pulled out a gun and opened fire.

The victim was shot in the torso and taken to a nearby hospital. The shooter ran from the scene.
MARTA officials said both men were passengers on the bus.
There were about 20 people on the bus but no one else was injured. Train service out of the station was suspended briefly but has since resumed.
The shooter is still at large.
