Channel 2's Audrey Washington spoke with the victim's sister as she placed a small memorial just steps away from where he was killed. She told Washington that she has no idea who would shoot and kill her brother.
A neighbor who wished not to be identified told Washington she heard voices and then one gunshot followed by the sound of several more shots.
"I ain’t never know him to be in any type of stuff like that or drama like that so it was like a shock to me when it happened," she said.
Atlanta police said a motive in the case is still unclear.
Neighbors hope surveillance cameras near the car and at the entrance to the complex will help police find the shooter.
“It’s crazy because it's so close to home," a neighbor said.
Police are still investigating.
