ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating what led up to the shooting of a 9-year-old girl in Southwest Atlanta Thursday night.
Police said they had made a traffic stop in the area of Myrtle Drive when they started hearing gunfire.
When officers went to investigate, they found the girl with a gunshot to her leg.

They said that when they got to where they believed the shooting scene was, a number of people took off running.
Investigators said they detained four people who are being questioned about the shooting.
The girl was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
At this point, no one has been arrested in the shooting.
