ATLANTA — Atlanta police are looking for a man accused of shooting and killing a woman on a busy Midtown Atlanta street.
NewsChopper 2 was over the very active scene just before 8 a.m. Monday.
Eighth and 10th streets were blocked off at Peachtree Street as police investigated.
The victim was identified Monday afternoon as Trinh Huynh, 40.
Officers said the gunman shot Huynh from behind at the intersection of Peachtree Place and Peachtree Road.

Witnesses said she was shot many times.
"He didn't come up to her. He just shot her. He just shot her three times. Boom, boom, boom," witness Tony Booker said.
Neighbors remember Huynh as smart, charming and kindhearted.
"It's devastating, it's absolutely devastating," neighbor Wilmot Irvin told Channel 2's Nefertiti Jaquez. The fact that it happened in broad daylight in rush hour is you know is also telling this guys is not right. Whoever did this, needs to be caught."
Surveillance video shows the shooter running from the scene on Peachtree Place. Officers say surveillance video lost sight of the man at 8th and Juniper streets.
"There was no conversation, there was no exchange (between the victim and the gunman) during the shooting incident," Atlanta police Lt. Ricardo Vazquez said. "I don't think we can rule anything out at this point, so it's hard to say what the motive could be."
Vazquez said they have not been able to make a connection between the man and the victim, but they do believe the woman was targeted and was being followed by the man.
"There was another person in that intersection and it appears that he specifically targeted her. At this point in time, we don't have any information that links them, whether it's socially or professionally," Vazquez said.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
