Police searching for ATV rider who hit car, killing passenger riding with him

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are looking for a man they say was riding an ATV when he hit a car, injuring his female passenger. 

The man then took off. The woman later died.

Investigators said they were called out to Metropolitan Parkway SW and St. Johns Avenue SW on June 16 shortly after 8 p.m.

Police said the man on the ATV hit another vehicle, critically injuring the woman who was riding with him. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died of her injuries.

Officers said the man on the ATV had taken off before they got there.

Atlanta police released surveillance video of the man they are looking for as he was gassing up at a gas station in the area.
