ATLANTA — A 2-year-old girl has been found safe after police say her father stabbed her mother early Sunday morning and took her from the home.
Atlanta Police said Tamar Massey was dropped off at the DeKalb County jail by a family member.
Channel 2 Action News was there as Massey happily reunited with her grandmother outside the jail Sunday afternoon.
Her father, Tremayne Hines, 24, is still on the run.
Police said Massey’s mother, who has not been identified, was seriously injured when she was stabbed around 4 a.m.

Charges are pending against Hines.

Police said Hines changed clothes and may now be wearing a brown suit jacket and a bucket style hat with flower design on it.
Police said he left on foot and may be using MARTA to get around.
Anyone who sees the suspect is asked to call 911 immediately.
