ATLANTA — Atlanta police are taking a fresh looking at a case of a missing woman.
Police said Athena Curry stormed out of a home along Beecher Street in southwest Atlanta on May 27, 2011, after a fight with her boyfriend.
"The argument stemmed from her supposedly finding some photographs, texts from another woman. She walked out," Atlanta police Maj. Adam Lee said.
According to Curry's boyfriend, Yusef Mujahid, she left the home around 3:00 a.m. wearing only a t-shirt and shorts and was never seen again.
He did not tell her family or police about her disappearance until four days later.

"You let her leave. It's 3:00 in the morning. You didn't go after her and that was the part that doesn't make sense," said the woman's sister, Aisha Curry.
Curry's family has spent the last six years hoping she will return.
"Hoping, wishing she's out there," Aisha Curry, said.
Police said the couple's relationship was plagued with abuse. Mujahid was arrested and accused of beating Athena Curry. Police said he also threatened to shock her with a stun gun the day she gave birth to their son, King.
King was 16 months old when his mother disappeared. He is now 7 and lives with his aunt, who legally adopted him.
Police have not said that Mujahid is a person of interest in the case.
Athena Curry's family believe he was capable of hurting her. He is currently in jail and accused of robbing, beating and strangling his current girlfriend.
"I don't believe that she (Athena) is alive," Aisha Curry said.
Detectives said they are going over the case file and evidence, trying to piece everything together.
