Rapper Gucci Mane performing at Hawks game for the first time since proposing to wife during game

ATLANTA — BRRR! Although Atlanta is heating up, the East Atlanta Santa is keeping it cool by bringing a bag full of goodies, including a halftime performance.

The State Farm Arena will be a little colder once the ‘So Icy’ entertainer, Gucci Mane, performs on March 26.

The Atlanta Hawks announced on Monday that the rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, will be taking over the court with a halftime performance.

“I’m excited to be performing again for the Hawks halftime show after seven years,” said Gucci Mane. “I can’t wait to perform in front of all the fans and watch the Hawks walk away with a W,” Gucci Mane said.

The rapper has not performed at a Hawks game since the fall of 2016. During the ‘Kiss Cam’ at that game, Gucci Mane proposed to his now-wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir.

The couple recently announced the arrival of their baby girl, Iceland Davis, in early February. They welcomed their son, Ice Davis, in December 2020.

Gucci Mane, who is often referred to as “Guwop,” has his own record level, The New 1017, in partnership with Atlantic Records. His most recent releases include, ‘So Icy Boyz: The Finale’ mixtape with tracks such as ‘Letter to Takeoff’ and ‘All Dz Chainz’ featuring Lil Baby.

So far this season, the Hawks have had many performances, including artists Goodie Mob, Keri Hilson, and Ne-yo.
