ATLANTA — Crews are working to clear a crash that shut down both sides of Interstate 20 in Atlanta.
Georgia Department of Transportation officials told Triple Team Traffic the crash occurred around 2:15 a.m. on I-20 Eastbound near McDaniel Street SW.

Authorities confirmed that the crash involved a box truck and that the driver was taken to the hospital.

The driver’s identity and condition are unknown.
Authorities have not specified if any other vehicles were involved or provided information regarding what led to the crash.
GDOT crews have reopened I-20 westbound lanes and the majority of the eastbound lanes however some are closed due to continued debris removal.
