Strong storms developing in metro Atlanta capable of heavy rain, damaging wind gusts

ATLANTA — Be weather aware on Tuesday afternoon.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon says storms are developing and the risk for severe storms has expanded north to include the city of Atlanta.

The main threats are for heavy rain and damaging wind guests. For areas along I-20 and south, Deon says there is a stronger risk for storms and that a brief tornado can’t be ruled out.
