Shooting at MARTA station sends 1 to hospital, suspect in custody

ATLANTA — Police are investigating what led to a shooting at a midtown MARTA station.

MARTA police said they were called out the Arts Center MARTA station shortly before 3 p.m. and found one person grazed by a bullet on the northbound platform.

Police said a suspect was taken into custody and the victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be checked out for their injuries.

Train service was stopped at the station while police investigated but has since resumed.
