Storms possible this weekend, tropical system to bring rain to Georgia next week

ATLANTA — We’re in for a possible wet stretch of days as rain and storms are expected in Georgia.

Isolated and scattered storms are possible beginning in the afternoon Friday and could pop up through the weekend.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan said that a tropical system known as Fred will move into Georgia Monday and Tuesday and it’s possible it could bring severe weather to north Georgia.
