The owner of Midtown Jewelers shared the video with Channel 2 Action News. It’s one of the first we’ve gotten of break-ins at several businesses across metro Atlanta.

The store owner said that in this case, looters couldn't get through past the gate and were only able to steal sample jewelry, but did about $1,000 worth of damage to the store's windows, which were shattered.
"The AT&T store out front is a lot worse off," the owner said. "There was a lot of damage done to that store."
That AT&T store, which is located at Ansley Mall in Morningside, was ransacked.
Looting and chaos broke out Friday night after a planned, peaceful protest to condemn the death of a Minneapolis man at the hands of police. George Floyd died on Memorial Day after a police officer kneeled on his neck for several minutes.
That officer, Derek Chauvin, has since been arrested.
