ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News has learned that a 22-year-old man accused of shooting and killing a 6-month-old baby during a drive-by shooting in northwest Atlanta was already wanted on felony charges before Monday’s murder.
On Tuesday, Atlanta police announced the arrest of Dequasie Little, 22, during a news conference with Mayor Andre Dickens.
Channel 2′s Michael Seiden spent the day looking into Little’s criminal history and confirmed that he was already facing multiple violent felony charges since he turned 18, but he has never been convicted on any of the charges.
In January 2019, Atlanta police arrested Little on charges of aggravated assault with an object, aggravated assault by strangulation and simple battery, according to court documents.
According to a police report, Little is accused of trying to strangle his ex-girlfriend after she broke up with him.
“The defendant put his hands around her neck and squeezed until she could not breathe and repeatedly stating, ‘me or death.’ Ms. Weaver was able to send a text for her daughter to contact police,” the police report read.
Channel 2 is working to get the details of the circumstances surrounding the charges, but as of Tuesday, the case remained open in Fulton County with no immediate court dates scheduled.

Little is being charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection to the shooting of 6-month-old Grayson Matthew Fleming-Gray.
Police said Tuesday that Little was likely the shooter involved in the case.
