ATLANTA — The people at Delta Air Lines have another reason to celebrate after it was named the best airline of 2023.
Personal finance company WalletHub released a new study that compared the nine largest U.S. airlines, plus two regional carriers.”
Of all the airlines, Delta came out as the No. 1. overall. The worst – Southwest.
People involved in the study also said Delta was the most reliable airline, as well as one of the best for pets.
During its study, WalletHub looked at 14 different metrics “from cancellation and delay rates to baggage mishaps and in-flight comfort” to come up with its list of airlines from best to worst.

The company said it also considered costs in relation to in-flight amenities.
Some of the study’s key finding shows Delta had the lowest rate of cancelations, delays, mishandled luggage, and denied boardings of all the airlines it looked at.
JetBlue was picked as the most comfortable airline, while Spirit was listed as the most affordable.
