All clear given at 3 metro Walmarts evacuated due to bomb threats

ATLANTA — Police have confirmed three Walmart stores were evacuated this afternoon due to bomb threats.

DeKalb Fire Rescue say the Walmart at Stonecrest Mall has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.

Morrow Police told Channel 2 Action News the Walmart on the 6000 block of Jonesboro Road has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.

Atlanta police say the Walmart on Howell Mill Road was evacuated this afternoon, but the scene was cleared at 2:30 p.m.

Walmart confirms a few of their stores were closed for about an hour and a half after receiving bomb threats.

According to Walmart, police officers were called and swept the stores, but found nothing in each case.

Walmart says all affected stores are now open.
