Severe weather threat diminishes throughout the afternoon

ATLANTA — The threat for severe weather will continue to diminish throughout the afternoon Wednesday.

Severe Weather Team 2′s Eboni Deon says we could see isolated showers as the storms continue to move out.

The front that is behind the stormy weather is expected to move through Georgia later Wednesday afternoon an into the early evening, pushing out the stormy weather.

“Once it moves all the way out of the area, clouds will start to break up and overnight we’ll have a mostly clear sky,” Deon said.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Showers, storms still possible into the evening mainly east of the metro
  • Temperatures will be much colder Wednesday night
  • Will be a clear but much cooler day on Thursday
