The incident happened just before midnight Monday at the gas station on Metropolitan Parkway.

“My adrenaline kicked in, so I ran to the car, and then I tried to open my door twice," the victim, who asked to remain anonymous, told us. "I always watch my surroundings, but this was a time I let my guard down."

“I just happened to get on the news, and I see this lady get dragged with the Camaro," an auto broker told us.
He was pumping gas at a RaceTrac on Jonesboro Road in Union City when slider thieves preyed on him.
"As soon as we got out the car, we left it running. As soon as that happened, it was gone," he said. "I started chasing after it, but it was too late."
The thieves got away in his 2008 white Infiniti.
It's unclear where they went from there, but two hours later, they showed up at the gas station in southwest Atlanta.
The search continues for the thieves but according to sources at the Atlanta Police Department, investigators recovered the stolen Infiniti.
