According to Atlanta officials, since February of this year, the Morningside Community has been a victim of several burglary incidents. During those burglaries, investigators used multiple resources and later identified a person of interest.
On Friday, authorities conducted a search warrant at a home on Berkshire Road in northeast Atlanta. Officers began searching for a suspect, later identified as Tiger Hollingsworth. During the search, APD said they found multiple items that had been reported stolen from the burglaries.
As police continued their search, they detained suspect Aurelius Brown, who was inside the home.

While detaining Brown, police said Hollingsworth tried to run away in the complex. Moments later, Hollingsworth was arrested.
Investigators said they also found four handguns, collector coins, trading cards, and safes that are believed to be stolen.
Brown was charged with theft by deception and theft by taking. Hollingsworth was charged with multiple counts of burglary.
APD said the investigation is active and ongoing due to the number of burglaries Brown and Hollingsworth appear to be involved in.
