‘We found beer right where we are:’ Ed Sheeran serenades Atlanta brewery patrons, buys them a round

ATLANTA — Pop star Ed Sheeran surprised patrons of an Atlanta brewery Saturday by buying them a round of drinks.

Sheeran popped in for a drink on the “Perfect” day at SweetWater Taproom in Atlanta.

Sheeran was already in town for his “+-=÷x Tour” at Mercedes Benz Stadium but wanted to celebrate his visit to the ATL with a surprise concert to kick off the holiday weekend.

While enjoying the sunny day, Sheeran also serenaded patrons with hits from his new album, “Subtract.”

“We couldn’t think of a better way to get the holiday weekend started than with some hops and harmonies with Ed!” Brewery officials wrote on Facebook.

Sheeran fans thanked the singer for the free drink and song before his show at the stadium.
