This comes as metro Atlanta and north Georgia are under a winter storm warning.

Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz says that snow will continue to fall in the north Georgia mountains. But in metro Atlanta, some areas have reported snowfall totals up to 3.5 inches, like in downtown Atlanta and Norcross.

Earlier, Hartsfield-Jackson was under a ground stop, leading to most of the flight cancellations. That was lifted at 2 p.m. and Flight Aware reported average delays higher than 270 minutes.

But just before 3:45 p.m., a second ground stop was issued at the airport. It is currently set to expire at 5:30 p.m.
