ATLANTA — A young woman accused of helping to kill her roommate and best friend will not get out of jail.
Former Clark Atlanta University student Jordyn Jones and her boyfriend are charged with murdering Alexis Crawford last year.
Crawford's body was found in a plastic bin at a park in DeKalb County more than a week later.
Channel 2′s Lauren Pozen was in downtown Atlanta, where Judge Constance Russell denied Jones’ request for bond.
Crawford's family spoke to the judge prior to the ruling and told the court that having bond reconsidered in the first place is one word: hurtful.

"This is just not right," Crawford's mother said. "My baby, there was no reason, no reason for her to die."
For bond to be reconsidered, there has to be a change of circumstances since the last hearing.
The defense argued that they didn't have an opportunity in November to prepare testimony from family and friends who would support Jones getting bond.
The judge didn't feel that the requirements for bond were met.
Crawford's family spoke to the court before the judge made her ruling.
Crawford's mother talked about accepting and welcoming Jones into her home. Crawford's father got emotional while talking about his daughter.
"I have to go to the grave to see my baby," her father said. "Spend time with her at the grave."
Rev. Markel Hutchins says he is the advisor for Crawford's family.
"Nobody won today," Hutchins said. "There are no winners or losers in this. Everybody is losing."
Jones has pleaded not guilty. She led police to Crawford’s body but says she did not kill her roommate.
