ATLANTA — Atlanta Police say a woman and child suffered minor injuries after a car they were inside was shot at.
Police say on Wednesday, officers responded to 1999 Bent Creek Way SW in reference to a shots fired call.

When police arrived, they found a 35-year-old woman with minor injuries to her face and a 15-year-old with minor injuries to her face as well.
The investigation showed the women were inside of a car when an unidentified suspect shot at the car they were in, resulting to the women being hit with shattered glass.

Police say the suspect fled the scene following the shooting.
Both women were alert, conscious, breathing, and were treated by medical personnel on scene. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
