ATLANTA — A woman has died following a house fire in northwest Atlanta, officials say.

Around 12:19 a.m. Atlanta firefighters were called to a home in the 1100 block of 7th Street in northwest Atlanta.
Fire crews rescued a woman from the home. According to officials, she did have a pulse, when she was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
The fire was extinguished around 7 a.m.

The Atlanta Fire Rescue Department said the woman died from injuries sustained in the fire. Family members identified the victim as 78-year-old Mamie Farley.
Investigators are working to learn what caused the fire.
