ATLANTA — Atlanta police are looking for the person who attacked and robbed a woman at a local park, just hours after another man attacked two sisters at Chastain Park.

A woman told police she went to Whittier Mills Park, off Bolton Road and I-285, to scout the location for a possible photo shoot.

As she was walking around, she said she noticed a man drive up in an older model white Dodge Charger. The black man had a goatee and short haircut, and was wearing a white tank top, she said.

She said the man started scouting the area as if he was also a photographer, but then pulled out an assault rifle and told her to face the wall and get on the ground.

“If you scream, I will kill you,” she told police he threatened.

Then she said he dumped out her purse, grabbed her car keys and looked through her car for valuables. Then he took the keys and took off. She ran across the street and called police, she said.

The attacker is described as a black male with short hair and a goatee, who was wearing a white tank top.

TRENDING STORIES:

The robbery comes less than 24 hours after two sisters were attacked at Chastain Park in Buckhead.

Investigators made an arrest in that case and charged a man with battery.

Police said Silvestre Diaz-Duque admitted to punching one of the women he said agreed to give him a ride, but then "freaked out" when he put his arm around her. The sisters tell a different story and said the attack was random, and they were walking to their car after having gone for a run.

Diaz-Duque remains in the Fulton County Jail and is expected to appear in court Friday.

Anyone with information about either of the attacks should call police.
