Missing Braselton girl found safe after massive search

JACKSON COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: The girl has been found in a park and is with her mother. We're working to learn more about the circumstances of her disappearance.

Law enforcement agencies and family members are searching for a missing girl in Braselton.

Maria Leggiero disappeared Tuesday while playing soccer in her backyard, according to family members.

Channel 2's Tony Thomas learned that Gwinnett police, the Georgia Bureau Investigation and other agencies are involved in the search.

Police said they are investigating her disappearance as a possible runaway case.
