COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — The Georgia State Patrol said a baby girl and an adult were killed in a hit-and-run crash on I-85 that left four other children injured.
Troopers say the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on I-85 south near Riverdale Road.
The investigation shows an unknown vehicle was traveling south in the first lane from the left shoulder when it crossed over and hit a Ford Explorer. The impact caused the driver of the Explorer to lose control and flip over, hitting a Ford Focus.

There were seven people in the Explorer. The driver was killed as was a baby girl who was a passenger. A woman and four children were also injured. Troopers said the children, a 4-year-old boy, a 5-year-old girl and two 13-year-old boys were all ejected from the vehicle.
The victims’ identities and conditions have not been released.
The vehicle that started the crash left the scene.
The Georgia State Patrol is still investigating.
