BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia police department wants to warn families about a potentially dangerous discovery found during a traffic stop.

The Auburn, Georgia police department posted on its Facebook page this week that they found a bag of what looked like candy, but were actually suspected ecstasy pills.

Police said the drugs were in the shape of frog heads in multiple colors.

“Please make sure to speak with your children and educate them about suspicious candy like substances,” the police department wrote on Facebook.

The suspected ecstasy was found along with other drugs during the traffic incident, police said. The hallucinogenic stimulant can be cut with other drugs including LSD, meth and Fentanyl.

Chanel 2′s Tom Regan was in Auburn, where police said a suspected drug dealer, Terrence Hinds, crashed his car Wednesday afternoon outside of a Dollar General on Atlanta Highway. Police became suspicious when Hinds acted nervous and smelled like marijuana.

Sarah Morgan watched the bust unfold as she sat in her parked car.

“As soon as the cops pulled in, he opened his trunk and threw something in it and closed it real quick. I watched it all,” Morgan said. “I just couldn’t believe they found that.”

Morgan said it’s scary the drugs looked like candy. She has kids herself.

“It looks a lot like Halloween candy,” Morgan said. “I’m glad they were able to arrest him, because we need that off the streets.”

Hinds has been charged with drug trafficking and other charges related to the crash.
