Barrow County man arrested in wife's murder

BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — Barrow County deputies say they have arrested a man in the shooting death of his wife.

Deputies say 36-year-old Kevin Richard Harrison told them that his wife accidentally shot herself in the head at their home at 763 Moss Side Drive on Feb. 28. Heather Marrie Harrison was taken to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead hours later.

After investigating the scene and talking to witnesses, detectives said they determined that the shooting was not an accident.

Harrison was arrested for aggravated assault, felony murder and other charges.
