BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has confirmed that a 14-year-old student has been arrested after bringing a gun to Apalachee High School.
Classes at Apalachee High School have been canceled on Thursday following the incident.
Parents called Channel 2’s Courtney Francisco on Wednesday to alert her to the incident and she later confirmed it with the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.

The news was unnerving to the parents Francisco spoke with following the mass shooting at the school in September that killed two students and two teachers.
The sheriff’s office said it had no further comment at this time.
Francisco is on her way to Barrow County to get more reaction to this developing story.
