Parts of north Georgia saw strong storms with heavy rain, lightning and gusts up to 40 mph Saturday evening.
A severe thunderstorm moved over Coweta County Saturday night around 7 p.m. Parts of South Fulton and Clayton counties also saw heavy downpours with frequent lightning.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Katie Walls said the rain cooled parts of metro Atlanta to the low 70s.
Storms cleared out Saturday night.
