ATLANTA — Right now, crews are working to clear the debris from a building implosion that shook midtown Atlanta Saturday morning.
Channel 2 Action News monitored every second of the countdown and captured the moment the 5-story building off West Peachtree Street fell.
The implosion was scheduled to go off at 7 a.m, but the crews set off the blast nearly two minutes earlier.

After the implosion, MARTA teams inspected the Arts Center Station tunnel and rail lines. They also tested the tunnel ventilation system.
MARTA temporarily suspended rail service on the Gold Line between Lindbergh and Midtown Stations for the implosion. The service resumed around 8 a.m. when the all-clear was given.
