CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A car caught on fire outside the north terminal of Atlanta’s airport Thursday, snarling traffic and sending up a plume of black smoke.

Officials at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport said no one was injured in the incident and operations are returning to normal.

Channel 2 Action News viewer Kenny Grove shared video of the car with its front end fully engulfed in flames and firefighters working to put the fire out.

At one point, firefighters ran from the vehicle after a few loud pops. Firefighters were able to contain the flames shortly thereafter.
