CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating an officer-involved shooting in Carroll County.
Sheriff’s deputies went to a home on Park West Drive in Carrollton to serve a temporary protective order on Bryce Jarrod Suter, 41, at 4:30 p.m.
When they arrived at the home, Suter barricaded himself inside and threatened to “blow up” the deputies outside.

At 5 p.m., deputies obtained a search warrant for the home and began deploying tear gas into the home to get him to exit, but he remained barricaded inside.
Just after 6:15 p.m., deputies made their way into the home and Suter began lighting a Molotov cocktail. Wehn he did, two deputies shot him.
Suter was treated on the scene and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for his injuries. His current condition is unknown.

No deputies were injured.
The GBI is conducting an independent investigation.
