CARROLL COUNTY, Ga — A west Georgia sheriff’s office is raffling off guns to benefit community programs, it announced on Wednesday.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s office says that beginning on April 1, it will be drawing tickets for 30 days, raffling off guns.
Each ticket costs $100 and can be purchased at the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Barnes Store in Carrollton, or Southern Gun Traders in Bowdon.
Deputies say there will be 500 tickets raffled off in total.
Proceeds will go to benefit community programs throughout Carroll County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said that you must be 21 years or older to enter, and you must undergo a background check if your ticket is chosen.
