Deputy rescues snake slowly slithering across Carroll County road

CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. — A snake in Carroll County was found throwing a ‘hissy fit’ after it was caught slithering on a road.

Most people become startled when they come across a snake, but Deputy McLain found himself not easily rattled.

While patrolling the area on Monday, McLain found a black rat snake out on the road in Carroll County.

According to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, snakes are common across Georgia. They are also beneficial because they eat rats, mice, and other pests animals.

Georgia is among the highest biodiversity of snakes in the United States with 46 species.

McLain allowed the snake to slither away in the hope of not scaring anyone else.
