VILLA RICA, Ga. — Police say a man was shot an killed outside a bar in Villa Rica early Saturday morning.
Villa Rica police said they were called to reports of a shooting outside the Watering Hole Bar around 12:10 a.m. Saturday.
Officers found the victim in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released as relatives are being notified.

Police determined that the victim and the suspect, 25-year-old Brannon Shirley, had been in a fight that led to the shooting.
Shirley left the scene but later turned himself in. He’s been charged with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Shirley is being held at the Carroll County jail.
