CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. — A teenage girl who disappeared nearly five months ago has been found safe.
Deputies say Kaylee Jones, 16, disappeared on June 14 near Whooping Creek Church Road in Carrollton.

They say that she has since been found and reunited with her family.
Family members previously said they were concerned that Jones may be with someone whom she met online. The sheriff’s office said the family moved to Carrollton from Florida a year ago.
Deputies said they spent months following up on leads that did not pan out, but they are “grateful” she was found.

The sheriff’s office has not confirmed any details on her disappearance “due to the sensitive nature of the case.”
