Woman charged with stealing more than $60,000 from elderly family member’s bank account

CARROLLTON, Ga. — A Carrollton woman has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from one of her family members.

Police say Nicole Danielle Veal, 34, made several withdrawals over the last several months from a bank account that belongs to one of her family members over the age of 65. The withdrawals totaled more than $60,000.

Investigators determined Veal was the person responsible for the withdrawals. They also found that the withdrawals were made without permission from the family member who owns the account.

Officers were able to arrest Veal on Tuesday and charge her with exploitation and intimidation of disabled adults/elder persons.
