Cherokee County police arrested a man they said had been having inappropriate communication online with someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl.
CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — According to police, Adrian Aguilera, 24, of Cumming, was arrested after he showed up at Hobgood Park in Woodstock Friday night.
Police said he had the intention of meeting with a 13-year-old girl he had been communicating with online since July.
The person who he was communicating with was actually a detective with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children.
Aguilera was arrested and charged with 13 counts of obscene internet contact with a minor, two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, two counts of electronic obscene materials to a minor and one count of attempted child molestation.
He remains in custody at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center on a $160,000 bond.
