CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga — A retired police dog died Saturday in Cherokee County died on Friday morning.
Police said K-9 officer Yoda passed away with his former handler, Deputy Stark by his side.

Yoda was a dual-purpose Belgian Malinois.
He served and protected the citizens of Cherokee County for eight years, according to police.

He retired in 2018 and has since lived with Stark and his family.
