CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A Canton man died on New Year’s Eve when a car fell onto his moving car.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Phillip Ziegler, 62, was driving on Union Hill Road near Windflower Court on Tuesday at approximately 2:30 p.m. when a tree fell on his vehicle.
Ziegler was taken to North Fulton Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Deputies say he was the only person in the vehicle.
