New $30M robotics company to locate headquarters in Cherokee County

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A global robotics manufacturer is coming to Cherokee County.

Gov. Kemp’s office announced that Becker Robotic Equipment plans to build a manufacturing facility in Canton, Georgia.

The $30 million project will house its North American headquarters there.

It is expected to create more than 130 new jobs. The company is looking for workers to hire in the sales, engineers, project managers and customer and service technicians field.

“Last year alone, the automotive industry created more than 16,000 jobs for hardworking Georgians across the state, and we’ll continue to build on that momentum,” Gov. Brian Kemp said.

The robotics company was founded in 1993 and headquarter in Dülmen, Germany.
