HOLLY SPRINGS, Ga. — Police are investigating new allegations of sexual misconduct involving a teacher charged with raping a student.
Robert Vandel allegedly raped a Fulton Academy of Science and Technology student in early 2020.
Vandel previously taught at the charter school before he was hired at Lyndon Academy in Holly Springs.
Holly Springs police confirmed to Channel 2′s Chris Jose that there is at least one potential victim at Lyndon Academy who came forward with credible information.

Lyndon Academy headmaster Linda Murdock told Jose a student came forward last fall following Vandel’s arrest.
“The child demonstrated what upset her and I sent her on to the police department,” said Murdock. “I will do anything in my power to keep a child safe.”
Holly Springs police said numerous people have provided tips and the investigation is ongoing.
Roswell police told Jose no other victims have come forward at FAST.
Vandel remains in the Fulton County Jail.
